The follow-up visit

In the case of a surgical interruption and as with all surgery, a post-operative visit with the doctor of your choice in the 2-3 weeks following the operation is strongly advised.

In the case of RU 486, this follow-up visit takes place during the 3rd required consultation, 8 to 10 days after taking the tablets in the abortion center.

Contraception

Aside from the gynecological exam, this is the time to consider the method of contraception that best suits you.

Abortion should never be considered as a birth control method.

Counseling after pregnancy termination

If you wish, you may see the same person you saw at your preliminary visit or another person of your choice. This person will offer psychological support and refer you to another professional if necessary.
